With the Maumee River and Great Lakes as the backdrop, Downtown is a natural environment for a good time. Every year we host countless events, festivals, parades and professional sports games, and we’re home to a nationally renowned art community and vibrant theatre scene.
No matter how you start out, you’ll probably end up at one of Toledo’s many restaurants, pubs or coffee shops. And you won’t be alone, because here the nighttime crowd is thriving and electric with live music and dancing. If that’s not your speed, stop by one the fine dining spots for drinks and conversation by candlelight. Several museums offer the chance to explore the globe while remaining in the Glass City. Or bring your kayak and see downtown from the river’s perspective.
If you’re feeling adventurous, just head downtown and follow the crowd. There’s something memorable to experience wherever the trail goes.
