As the cool weather approaches, the Southern food scene in downtown will warm you right up! We’ve gathered a list of some great tasting Southern food we think you’ll love.

Downtown just got a whole lot more colorful! Thanks to the Momentum Arts Festival, put on by the Arts Commission, we have five new murals along our riverfront. Three can be seen from outside on Water Street and two inside the Citiwalk Tunnels.

The weather is cooling down but downtown is still hot with activity! Whether you’re looking for an artsy night out or something to do with the whole family – there are plenty of options to fit your needs.

Summit Street looks a little different these days. The mass construction is due to the replacement of the water main. The construction began in May 2020 and has an estimated completion date of July 2021. The completed Summit Street will also have lots of aesthetic enhancements.

Toledo City Council approved the $10.5M renovation of Summit Street today at their meeting.  Improvements will be made from Lafayette Street to Jackson Street including replacement of a 150-year-old waterline. Pedestrians will soon experience new lighting, improved crosswalks, additional benches, and plantings. A new art installation by the Arts Commission will be installed in a park-like setting located between Adams and Madison. Motorists will appreciate more on-street parking spaces, making it easier to access dining and retail spaces.

Lucas County Health Department Commission Eric Zgodzinski has reinstated the Downtown Toledo Outdoor Refreshment Area in downtown Toledo, the Adams Street Outdoor Refreshment Area and the City of Sylvania Downtown Outdoor Refreshment Area effective Friday, May 15, 2020.
