More and more businesses are opening up in downtown, just in time for warm weather perfect for exploring. New to calling downtown home in the past few weeks, six businesses are ready to welcome you. From yoga, to ice cream, kayaks and more, there's a little bit of something for everyone.
There’s a brand-new salon in town! After finding much success at their Northwood location, Bella Rose Beauty has opened a second location at Library Square in downtown Toledo. Salon services include hair cuts, coloring and styling, make up application, waxing, nail services, eyelash extensions and aesthetic services. Local events and catering business, Cork & Knife Provisions, has made 224 South Erie their new home. Located just across the street from the Erie Street Market building, Cork & Knife offers sit-down dining experiences in addition to their catering services. Downward dogs in downtown Toledo! Find your peace at downtown’s newest yoga studio, Downtown Yoga 419. The studio is located inside the Secor Building at 425 Jefferson Ave. Suite 400. Just Toledo sells home cleaning supplies, personal hygiene products, food pantry items and more as zero waste options. This means all items are sold in reusable containers. Outdoor enthusiasts rejoice! Ridge and River is an outdoor equipment and apparel retail shop. After having much success as an online retailer, owners Kyle Boyers and Connor Scott decided to open a physical location in downtown Toledo. The store is located at 621 Adams St. Store hours are Tuesdays-Fridays from 11a-6p and Saturdays from 10a-5p. I scream, you scream, we all scream for Swanky Scoops ice cream! Handmade ice cream is now made in a production kitchen at 130 10th Street. Swanky Scoops is available for purchase from their mobile ice cream cart, or local partners like Walt Churchill’s Market, The Original Sub Shop & Deli and the Dollop Shop. Additionally, Swanky Scoops offers exclusive, limited-edition flavor trios of their rich, French-style small batch ice cream each month.
