Learn about Community Entertainment Districts at upcoming Coffee Connections

Coffee Connections, hosted by the Downtown Toledo Improvement District and ConnecToledo, will be held at Rustbelt Coffee on December 1^st from 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. All are welcome to attend this open house, enjoy a cup of coffee on us and have a conversation regarding downtown topics.

One of the topics will be Community Entertainment Districts. CEDs are allowed by the State of Ohio as a way of increasing allowable liquor licenses in areas of entertainment density. Downtown Toledo currently has five districts (see map). Proposed is a realignment of boundaries and increasing the number of CEDs to 8 (see map). The goal is to encourage more entertainment venues that coincide with the projected growth throughout downtown.
