Fish Fridays in Downtown Toledo
It’s that time of year again, that six week stretch that kicks off on a cold Wednesday and ends on a hopefully sunny Easter Sunday. It’s during this time that restaurant menus begin to change and offer more seafood options for this Lenten season. We’ve compiled a list of downtown restaurants that have options you can enjoy in the restaurant or as carryout in your own home.
Friday dinners at the Adams Street Café have always been a big affair, and Lenten Fridays are no exception! Enjoy fried whitefish and shrimp, hush puppies, roasted broccoli, Yukon potatoes, coleslaw and blueberry buttermilk pie!
Lenten meals don’t have to just be fried fish – try a lobster roll or grouper Rueben from the Blarney this year.
Get that lunchtime fix with rotating specials over the next six weeks. Additionally, they offer some seafood options permanently on their menu.
Whether you’re looking for breakfast, lunch or dinner options – Fowl & Fodder Downtown Toledo has you covered. Chef Aaron Lawson has created an innovative menu that’ll have you counting down the days until your next meal there!
Known for their tasty chicken, Fricker’s is switching it up a little bit for Lent. Swing by the Toledo favorite for fried Pollack and fries.
The Erie Street eatery is cooking up delicious seafood options all year long. If you haven’t tried them yet, now is the time to dig into a salmon pineapple bowl, Po’ Boy sandwich, salmon Philly or any of their tasty seafood options.
This lunch time favorite has awesome weekly specials throughout the year, but during this six week stretch until Easter, you can get some great seafood options on Fridays.
Tacos, anyone?! Get some tasty fish and shrimp tacos from this tasty Mexican eatery.
We love the tasty food Maumee Bay cooks up regularly, so we know their Lent specials will knock our socks off! We're so excited to try the pistachio crusted rainbow trout.
We have a feeling the already busy pub will see an even bigger larger patronage over the next six weeks. The waterfront eatery serves up great seafood options all year long, but has some new specials for this Lenten season. Try the Blackened Shrimp & Avocado Salsa Toast and Shrimp Pesto Pasta for some new fare.
We love them for their hot dogs, but now you can enjoy some crispy, fresh, and flaky Lake Perch for your Friday meals.
Probably the most obvious restaurant on this list! Real Seafood Co. has been a Toledo staple for years. Take in views of the downtown skyline while chowing down on some decadent meals.
Souk Mediterranean Kitchen & Bar
This Lebanese eatery has your seafood needs covered. From calamari to Seared Hummus Crusted Barramundi, we know you’ll find something to enjoy.
This downtown staple is cooking up great options for Lent observers. Try the Norwegian Salmon, fish and chips or blackened fish tacos for a tasty Friday meal.
Love the classic fish and chips? Ye Olde Durty Bird has got you covered! And when you’re looking to switch it up, try their Po’ Boy sandwich!
