DORA is Reinstated

Lucas County Health Department Commission Eric Zgodzinski has reinstated the Downtown Toledo Outdoor Refreshment Area in downtown Toledo, the Adams Street Outdoor Refreshment Area and the City of Sylvania Downtown Outdoor Refreshment Area effective Friday, May 15, 2020.

In order to maintain a safe environment in light of COVID-19, the following is in effect for the two Outdoor Refreshment Areas (ORAs) within the city of Toledo:

1. Hours will be Noon – 10 p.m. from Sunday through Saturday.

 

2. Patrons are discouraged from traveling from one location to another. If an individual finds himself/herself in a group, please spread out and keep the group under 10 in size.

 

3. Restaurants in the City of Toledo are permitted to place tables and chairs on sidewalks within the footprint of their buildings thereby allowing patrons to spread out. Outdoor refreshment area drinks, in the officially recognized plastic cup, may be used at these tables and chairs.

 

4. ORA cups must still be filled from the inside of the restaurant. The wait staff may carry the cup to patrons seated in their outdoor chairs. Patrons may carry their own ORA cup out of the restaurant and to the sidewalk. Cups must be used outside only.

 

5. The current requirement that ORA cups cannot be used on private property remains unchanged.
