Dining in Downtown Toledo Satisfies Even The Pickiest Eaters

Downtown Toledo offers a wide variety of dining options that will keep you coming back! Our downtown is unique in offering over 80% locally owned restaurants. From meticulously hand rolled sushi to shawarma with freshly cut off the spit meat, we have options that are sure to please any palate.

 

Several local restaurants have found great success in opening second locations of their suburban restaurants in downtown! Fowl & Fodder, Barry Bagels, Maddie & Bella Coffee Roasters, Deet’s BBQ, Poco Piatti, Balance Pan-Asian Grille, Kyoto Ka and local favorite, Tony Packo’s have found the downtown market to excellent in the recipe for success.

 

In 2019, we saw seven new restaurants hit the downtown Toledo scene. Souk Mediterranean Kitchen & Bar established itself in the newly renovated Sunkist Building across the street from the Farmers’ Market. Delicious and affordable Mexican cuisine found its way into the Central Business District with the opening of Lowrider Café. The much-anticipated opening of the renovated Main Library included the opening of Sarnie’s at the Library, where soup, salad and sandwiches are readily available. Is barbecue more you speed? Deet’s BBQ opened their fifth brick and mortar location in downtown with a slightly new concept. Deet’s BBQ & Brew features everything you love about their other locations, with a bar and live music. Don’t worry vegans, we’ve got something for you too! Leaf and Seed Café opened in the Davis Building after finding great success with their food truck in downtown. The vegan and vegetarian eatery makes all your favorite comfort food with a twist! Hamburger Mary’s opened across the river at The Docks. The restaurant serves up gourmet burgers and regularly scheduled entertainment. Toledo Spirits Company opened the doors to its cocktail lounge in kitchen in May and quickly became THE spot in Toledo.

 

Coming this year to the Lofts at the Marina District development, The Old Bag of Nails Pub. The Ohio eatery serves up pub food with pride and heart.
