Spend Winter Break in Downtown Toledo
The kids are home from school, you're off work, you've got family in town - whatever it may be, winter break is a great time to explore downtown and all it has to offer! We've got plenty going on over the next week, take a look and plan some fun outings.
December 23
Bring the whole family out to Fleetwood’s Tap Room to for the 20 Glamorous Years of Rock Show. The show benefits Helping Hands of St. Louis, a local outreach center that serves low income and homeless families and individuals.
December 24
Don’t stress over cooking for the family, bring them to Brim House for an amazing dining experience! Be sure to make reservations for the three-course prix fixe dinner.
Once you’ve finished dinner downstairs at Brim House, head upstairs to the Heights for Paws and Claws. There you can enjoy White Claw Hard Seltzers while playing with adoptable dogs from the Toledo Area Humane Society. A portion of every White Claw sold will benefit the Toledo Humane Society!
December 26
Off from work and the kids home from school? Don’t worry, we have plenty to do! Spend time exploring the Toledo Museum of Art’s Great Art Escape. The winter celebration brings a diverse array of demos, activities and entertainment to the museum’s campus from Thursday, December 26- Wednesday, January 1.
Learn all about the Great Lakes and the ships that have fared their waters at the National Museum of the Great Lakes! Climb aboard the Col. James M. Schoonmaker from December 26-30.
Skate your heart out on our riverfront! One SeaSkate is downtown’s only outdoor rink. Located at the fountain between One SeaGate and the Renaissance Hotel, the artificial ice rink allows skating in warm conditions. December 26-January 5.

Get your creativity juices flowing with art classes at the Art Supply Depo, be sure to browse their store while you’re there! Check their calendar for all classes.
Get your T-Town Hockey fix with the Toledo Walleye taking on the Wheeling Nailers. Stick around after the game and meet your favorite players at the Party with the Players on the Club Level of the Huntington Center.
December 28
Need a good laugh? See Jeff Dunham: Seriously at the Huntington Center! In addition to the show at the Huntington Center, there is also a pre-show dinner at the SeaGate Convention Centre.
December 29
Obviously going to a Walleye game is a really cool experience, but it’s even cooler when you can see the Stanley Cup and skate on the ice of the Huntington Center after the game!
December 30
Spend the morning at the newly renovated Main Library. With lots to explore, the kids will have plenty to keep busy. As a special treat, Elsa & Olaf will be available for a meet and greet!
Be sure to head to the Imagination Station for a New Year’s celebration the kids will love! At 2:20PM, 20,000 bouncy balls will be dropped from the ceiling throughout the science center!
Love basketball and comedy? Good news – the Harlem Globetrotters are at the Huntington Center! Let this be your family holiday tradition.
Need a good laugh to close out 2019? The Ottawa Tavern is hosting the Highs and Lows Comedy Jam where every comic shares their high, low and favorite joke of the year.
