If you like maps and history, you’ll love this new treat from Toledo’s Attic! This virtual tour features buildings that were in Downtown Toledo from centuries past. Once you click on a pin, it will show you photos of the buildings that were/are near that spot, the name of the building and when it was established. Detailed information and street views about some of the photos (for example, the McKinley Statue at the Lucas County Court House) are available within the pin.
Toledo’s Attic is the area’s virtual museum with a focus on the region’s commercial, industrial and social history from the late 19th through the late 20th centuries. Visitors will find historical essays, research articles, photo galleries, interactive media, video, virtual exhibitions and other resources.
