The Downtown Toledo Improvement District (DTID) is currently undergoing the renewal process with downtown property owners for an assessment cycle of 2021 - 2025. Historically, owners have supported DTID in the following assessment cycles: 2006-2010, 2011-2015, 2016-2020. Activities in downtown have grown since the district boundaries were drawn in 2006, so the assessment boundaries are being expanded into the Warehouse District and Uptown. Both of these districts have board representation on the DTID Board of Directors.
DTID is a key component to a continued resurgence in our city and the growth of property values. The non-profit organization was formed to encourage and participate in programs that maintain, improve and build the downtown area of the City of Toledo as a viable business, cultural, residential and recreational community.
Downtown has great momentum and DTID will continue to support it. It was a monumental week for downtown with the Land Bank taking ownership of the historic Spitzer, Nicholas and Port Lawrence buildings. Fort Industry Square’s redevelopment moves forward with their award of Historic State Tax Credits. Summit Street renovation is underway. Dining is happening outdoors as our restaurants continue to innovate. DTID property owners will add their financial support to keep the energy going!
